I had the pleasure of being a guest artist at the SYNESTHESIA Festival, held in a beautiful suburb of Porto. This is one of the experiences I will never forget in my life.
Through my participation in the festival, I had the opportunity to perform a scratch (initial process) of my solo for the first time. The experience was incredible, as the audience was very supportive and engaged with my performance. Additionally, I was able to teach a yoga class and lead a contemporary dance partnering workshop that I created based on what I’ve learned over the years of practice, particularly during the past year of my intensive contemporary dance training at Descalzinha Madrid.
I also had the chance to collaborate with amazing artists in their performances, engage in improvisational collaborations, and create a video documenting my stay in this fantastic place.
Being surrounded by like-minded people in nature and living together in a communal setting taught me so much. I received an overwhelming amount of love from people I had just met, and I hope I was able to give something similar in return.
