My Gymnastics Journey
From a very active child with boundless energy, my journey in gymnastics began when my mother enrolled me in classes at the age of six, sparking an endless passion. I was eventually selected as a member of the Syrian national team, representing my country in international tournaments such as the Arab Pan Games, the Asian Championship, and the Grand Prix. These experiences were grounded in long training hours and intensive camps, instilling in me resilience and discipline.
At age 16, my career as a competitive gymnast came to an end, and I gradually shifted into coaching. I started coaching in Syria, and when the war led my family to relocate to Lebanon, I continued my journey there. Over time, I built a dedicated team of 50 girls, coaching them to international standards by organizing training camps and taking them to international competitions and camps.
Eventually, I also became involved in judging competitions, both locally and abroad. Due to Lebanon's challenging political, economic, and COVID-related circumstances, I moved to Dubai, where I was invited to work as a rhythmic gymnastics’ coordinator, coach, and yoga instructor.
Over a year and a half in Dubai, I gained valuable experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and skill levels. During this time, I also earned my international license as a FIG judge, marking a key milestone in my professional qualifications.
Most recently, I worked part-time with a private gymnastics club in Madrid while pursuing an intensive year in contemporary dance. This experience enriched my skills and deepened my artistic vision. Looking ahead, my ultimate goal is to lead a professional gymnastics team once again, guiding them to high levels of achievement, while continuing to grow my career as a professional contemporary dancer.
